Famous for its white water kayaking and canoeing, the Nymboida River is a splendid wild river. The headwaters form in the high country of northern NSW and the river flows east from the Great Dividing Range to the sea, after joining other major river systems. Here, a subtle detail of a bottlebrush tree clinging to rocks within the swirling waters of the Nymboida in flood, is captured in ambient afternoon light.
