I feel proud that we have these little remnant pockets remaining, yet, I also feel very sad that this is all we have been left with. I think of all the other once beautiful places that no longer exist, places that have been destroyed by coastal developments and the like. Elsewhere around Australia, we only have fragments of our seashore left, little island's of bushland that give us an insight into how rich and diverse Australia's coastline once was.
