The Bunya Mountains in Central Queensland are famous for its Bunya Pines and the aboriginal festival that revolves around the Bunya pine seeds. However, after extensively photographing these giant trees of the forest I walked up to the highest peak of the range to capture the afternoon light. Here on the western slopes of the mountain another grand old tree was plentiful, the grasstree. These trees are anywhere in the vicinity of a couple of hundred years old.
