I have always held a dream of seeing, swimming and experiencing Australia's longest river, The Murray. I finally had the opportunity to camp alongside this beautiful river, and captured a few scenes in the process. The river is lined with ancient River Red Gums, standing tall like guardians gracing the peaceful flow of water from snow capped mountains, and out to the river mouth. Unfortunately, the Murray River has seen better days. Still today she continues her struggle, with water being extracted at an unsustainable rate. If water is not let to flow the full length of the river, allowing the flood seasons, these gracious River Red Gums will fall from grace... creating a true national shame.
