To stand at Little Ramsay Bay on Hinchinbrook Island, and look near vertical, up towards Mt. Bowen is a sobering experience. The range juts more than one kilometre vertically out of the Coral Sea. The presence of Mt. Bowen always remains - looming ever so magestically in the background for those walking the Thorsborne Wilderness Trail.
