A favourite place of mine is the West MacDonnell Ranges, west of Alice Springs. This photo was taken within Ormiston Gorge in morning light which is being deflected off the Gorge walls. There are many Gorges similar to this along the full length of the Ranges but Ormiston has a special charm. Perhaps it is the silent pools of water, the numerous rock wallabies gliding up and down effortlessly across steep cliff faces or being in the presence of millions of years of geological weathering. Our humble lives sometimes feel inconsequential in context to time.
