North Queensland missed out on a proper wet season in 2016 so when rain started falling in early 2017 I headed for the hills to capture some of rainforest creeks being recharged. Here Zillie Falls in the heart of Mamu country on the Atherton Tablelands thunders down over one of many waterfalls before reaching the Coral Sea. The sensory experience of being in amongst the turbulence with spray and wind lashing my body rejuvenated the spirit and soul. The simple things are often the best.
